The guidance is now available on the ACP website.

ACP has published a new guidance document, Administering influenza immunizations to patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, available in the COVID-19 section of the ACP website. The guidance includes direction for pharmacy teams for pharmacy setup, patient screening, prevention and exposure control, and post-immunization requirements.

The official start to the universal Influenza Immunization Program is October 19, 2020. That’s when pharmacists who are participating in the program may begin administering influenza vaccine to Albertans five years of age and older.
